The Vancouver Sun, January 2006

[ We have just returned home to Vancouver after two wonderful weeks exploring the Okanagan.  As we were driving home we talked about the highlights and we both agreed that our first night at Waterfront was tops.  The cream of cauliflower, mushroom and hazelnut soup followed by the veal cheeks and halibut was the best meal of the trip.  The second night was great but nothing can ever replace the first bite of a great first meal.  Friends we met up with went up to Kelowna specifically to eat at a restaurant and changed their plans based on our recommendation, and they loved it.

Thanks again for the tips on wineries to visit.  Steve at Rollingdale was great.  Lots of barrel tasting.  Mission Hill was in strong contrast and worth the trip.  There's a new Terrace Chef, Matt Batey and the lunches are wonderful.  All the wineries you recommended were great and we came back with a wonderful cross section of the region.  We may not drink anything but BC wines ever again...perhaps with the exception of champagne!  Thanks so much and here's looking forward to our next visit.  Oh yes, we stayed at Burrowing Owl which was great and their Meritage is worth a visit.]

Cheers

[ Our dinner was perfect from beginning to end.  Leisa made the planning so easy, and Chef Mark Filatow called to answer questions about the menu and special wine pairings. He also shared tidbits about the menu with our guests during the event. The service staff was outstanding.  We couldn't ask for anything better! ]

[ Waterfront Restaurant & Wine Bar was the perfect location for our 2006 Company Christmas Party. Providing the right amount of intimacy and the perfect air for celebration we enjoyed excellent service, a superb menu that catered to the versatile needs of our staff and the wine pairing was truly fantastic and right on the mark!!! Truly a fine dining experience and Okanagan gem. We look forward to Christmas 2007. ]
